		<description>You are right that there are special interest groups on both sides of the health care debate.  For the most part, the democrats are picking on the insurance industry and the average citizen with their plan.  I don&#039;t think that the private insurance industry should be given any awards, but I am smart enough to realize that simply adding a public health insurance option is not going to accomplish what the Obama administration wants to accomplish.  The first thing that needs to happen is Tort Reform.  Look at the state of Texas, which has passed at least limited measures of Tort Reform for the healthcare industry.  Liability insurance for doctors in Texas is 27% lower than in the rest of the country, due to the medical malpractice lawsuit limitations.  In turn, healthcare is cheaper, insurance premiums are lower, and more people are insured.  Maybe, just maybe, the democrats could take a hint from that.  After we take care of tort reform and fraud, then we can take a look at the private insurance industry.</description>
