Here’s a small collection of friends and family’s thoughts and words of Sanford.
I went to Far Rockaway High School with Sandy. I knew Sandy in passing in high school. I discovered that Sandy was gone when I visited the FRHS Alumni site.
I was very saddened to find out that Sandy was gone. All my prayers go to Sandys family.

It’s taken me a long time to write this to the Stoller family. I moved to Florida August 31, 2001 & had a very difficult time following 9/11. I lost several friends there. I hung around with Sandy, Alan Levy & Tony Ramos when we all lived in Wavecrest. My brothers & I along with Sandy & Alan played together constantly. We really enjoyed going to the beach. My heart goes out to the entire Stoller family. Your husband and dad was “one of a kind”!

His neighbor says he was friendly with a laughing smile that was “like the sunshine.”
A co-worker remembered him as kind and considerate, a joy to work with and a person who would go out of his way to help others.
A childhood friend said he was like a big brother. A friend describes him as “sunshine when he entered a room” with a great laugh and a great personality.
His wife and sons think of him everyday.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Sanford.
